A push button is a simple switch mechanism used to control an action, process, or electrical circuit by pressing a button. It's a common way to provide input to devices, from simple toys to complex machines. When a push button is pressed, it activates an internal switching mechanism, which can be momentary (returning to its original state when released) or latching (maintaining its new state until reset). The 'push-button' has been utilized in calculators, push-button telephones, kitchen appliances, and various other mechanical and electronic devices, home and commercial. It has two legs on either side. It works like a switch. By pushing down on the button, it creates a connection between the terminals allowing electricity to flow. When you release the electricity can no longer flow.
